Weight

weight

Body fat scales must not be used with electrically operated impla (e.g. cardiac pacemalers, medication pumps)

Persons with electrically conducting implants (e.g. bone screws, hip replacements) can use the scales. However, incorrect measurements can occur because of the better electrical conductivity of the implant compared to the tissues.

The body fat scales should not be used during pregnancy. Because of the amniotic fluid, incorrect measurements can occur.

  • Different weight readings can be caused by not standing still on the scales
  • The scales was pushed or lifted between the measurements, there was no correct zero setting or initialisation between the measurements
  • Due to technical tolerances, there can be a difference of up to +/- 0.5 kg in the readings between two measurements
  • Incorrect position on the scales, person stands a bit further forward or a bit further backward on the scales

  • Fluctuating results in measurement of weight
  • Effect of external factors such as dryer feet etc.
  • Movement artefacts
  • User stands differently on the electrodes from one measurement to another

Different manufacturers record different valuations of the measurements in the software.
These valuations may result in differences in measurements. The B.I.A. method of measuring body fat should generally be considered a trend measurement and not an absolute measurement because the total measurement is dependent on many external factors.

  • With scales with the "Quick Start" function, the user can stand on the scales directly without switching it on beforehand. The scales switches on independently and then starts measuring when it is stepped on.
  • The "Tap on" function describes switching on the scales by tapping the upper bowl of the scales. This means that the user has to tap on the scales and then wait until 0.0 appears in the display. It is only possible then to step on the scales and commence measurement.

  • Anatomical variations (e.g. considerably longer or shorter leg length)
  • Volume of calves and/or thighs
  • Training condition of the muscles
  • Bone structure
  • Fat distribution in the body
  • User's state of health
  • Poor contact between soles of the feet and electrodes
  • Severe sweating
  • Use of medications
  • Oedema of the legs
  • Haematomas in the legs
  • Fever
  • Measurement after physical effort
  • Measurement at different times of the day
  • Fluctuating body weight
  • Pregnancy (amniotic fluid)
  • Metal implants
  • Calloused skin on the soles of the feet

The athlete mode is an additional function for adjusting the body fat measurement to the individual circumstances of a user group. When analysing body fat, several fixed parameters are specified in the scales' software for calculating the proportion of body fat, along with the actual measurement of body resistance. In the normal mode, these constants reflect the average of the "normal population" as obtained in medical studies. The so-called athlete mode was incorporated as the distribution of the different body compartments (muscle, bone, fat etc.) is different in athletes from that in the "normal population". In this mode, constants that were obtained by medical studies with athletes are specified. The different readings are thus due to the different constants in the software.

  • The repeat precision when reading weight measured on a scales is +/- 0.3 kg
  • If several scales are compared, the maximum tolerance at a weight of 40kg is +/- 0.5 kg and +/- 1.1 kg at a weight of 100 kg
  • The tolerance when measuring body fat or body water is +/- 1%

The body consists mostly of water (approx. 60-70%). This water is contained in every possible organ and body part – and therefore also, to a large degree, in the muscles and even, to a small extent, in body fat. This means you can only add up the fat and muscle percentage but not the water, otherwise the water would be counted twice.

BF 500

This shows the Numeric Comparison procedure for secure Bluetooth® pairing.
Confirm the Bluetooth® pairing on the smartphone and on the scale as well by pressing the SET button.

a) for weight without BIA analysis: step off after weight is shown on scale display
b) for weight with BIA analysis: step off after body fat is shown on scale display

An online account is required for each scale user in the beurer HealthManager Pro app. The scale must be added in the app and an "existing user" must be selected during the integration process.

The connection between the scale and smartphone/tablet is encrypted using the Numeric Comparison process which is compliant with Bluetooth® S.I.G.

The possible causes for this are:
a) No user was detected during the measurement (e.g. no "U: 1"). In this case, press the + button on the scale to select the user before measuring.
b) WIFI/Bluetooth® is switched off on the scale. In this case, first press and hold the SET button for a long time until "unit" appears in the display. Then, briefly press the SET button until "off" appears in the display. Change to "on" with the + or - button, and confirm multiple times with the SET button until the scale switches off.
c) No user has been assigned between the scale and the beurer HealthManager Pro app.
To assign the user:

  • open the beurer HealthManager Pro app
  • select the BF 500 under "My devices"
  • select "User settings"
  • check whether the assigned scale user (e.g. "U: 1") is also the same user on the scale

If the user is not the same, remove the scale from the beurer HealthManager Pro app and reconnect it.

It is possible to create a new user via the scale or via the beurer HealthManager Pro app. The latter is only possible if no BF 500 has yet been added in the app.

An online account is required for each scale user in the beurer HealthManager Pro app. These accounts can be logged into on the same smartphone/tablet or on different devices.

In the beurer HealthManager Pro app, gender, age (date of birth) and height must be changed in the menu under "Profile data" because these values apply across all apps.

The activity level is only a device setting for the scale itself and can therefore be adjusted in the BF 500 device setting (under ""My devices"" select BF 500 and user settings).

The scale must be removed in the smartphone settings: Settings > Bluetooth > BF 500 > "i" > "Forget This Device". The scale must then be added in the beurer HealthManager Pro app once again.

BF 600

The app is currently available for: List of compatible smartphones

There could be several reasons for this:

  • Please stand on the stainless steel electrodes of the scale with your bare feet.
  • Ensure that a user has been added and assigned. If a user has been assigned, the user profile (e.g. P-01) will be displayed. If this has not happened, switch on the scale by briefly stepping onto the weighing surface, press the "up" button and select the desired user.
  • Stand still until all the figures have been run through.

You require your own user profile in the app. In the app, select your scale under Settings > My devices > BF 600 and add a new user there.
Alternatively, you can also create a new user without the app by pressing the SET button. To add this user to the app at a later time, proceed as follows: In the app, select your scale under Settings > My devices > BF 600 and add this user there.

Body water must not be added, as this is already included in the other analytical values (body fat, muscle percentage).

Place the scale on a firm, level surface and ensure that you stand still with an even weight distribution when on the scale.
Soft, uneven surfaces (e.g. carpet) can cause inaccuracies during measurement.

Each user requires their own compatible smartphone/tablet in order to be able to use the full function of the scale and to save the values locally in the app.
If the users each have their own cloud account, their data can be recorded when they log in on a compatible smartphone/tablet and transferred to the cloud account.

You must be registered as a cloud user in the app; your information will then be automatically in the HealthManager Cloud and can be viewed at any point via an Internet browser or the HealthManager PC.

Select your BF 600 scale in the menu area Settings > My devices. Here, you can choose between kg (kilogram), lb (pound) and st (stone) in the "Unit" area.
This can also be carried out directly on the rear of the scale. To do so, briefly press the Unit/Reset button when the scale is switched on.

No Bluetooth symbol can be seen when the scale is switched on. There could be various reasons for this.

  • The minimum range in the open is approx. 15 m. Walls and ceilings reduce the range.
  • Check whether you currently have an active Bluetooth connection with other devices such as your smartwatch, fitness tracker or other gadgets. - Disconnect or move the relevant device outside the Bluetooth range
  • Other radio waves may interfere with the transmission. - Therefore, do not position the scale near devices such as WiFi routers, microwaves, induction hobs

There could be various reasons:

  • The Bluetooth® connection is not working --> see previous FAQ "Bluetooth® connection"
  • Check in the app whether your scale user profile (e.g. P-01) is displayed in the device information for the BF 600 settings.
  • Newly saved measurements have to be saved under your user profile (e.g. P-01).
  • Close the app completely (including in the background).
  • Disable Bluetooth® in the smartphone settings and then enable it again. The scale should not be permanently connected in the smartphone settings of the operating system. This could prevent the HealthManager app from being connected.
  • Switch the smartphone off and back on again.
  • Remove the batteries in the scale for a short period and reinsert them.

Place the scale on a firm, level surface and ensure that you stand still with an even weight distribution when on the scale. Soft, uneven surfaces (e.g. carpet) can cause inaccuracies during measurement. Please also note that the scale features a 180 kg weight limit.

The user memory is full. Activate Bluetooth® in your smartphone settings and open the app. The data will be transferred automatically. This may take some time.

Your scale is equipped with a low battery indicator. The batteries in the scale are empty. Please replace the batteries.

BF 880

This happens when no WIFI connection can be established after the measurement is taken. The scale will then try to transfer the measurement via Bluetooth®. If this is the case, we recommend carrying out a network test via the app. This is in the device settings of the BF880 under "Network".

  • select the BF880 under "My devices"
  • select "User settings"
  • check whether the assigned scale user (e.g. "U: 1") is also the same user on the scale

If the user is not the same, remove the scale from the beurer HealthManager Pro app and reconnect it.

It is possible to create a new user via the scale or via the beurer HealthManager Pro app. The latter is only possible if no BF880 has yet been added in the app.

The activity level is a only a device setting for the scale itself and can therefore be adjusted in the BF880 device setting (under ""My devices"" select BF880 and user settings).

The scale is ready for Bluetooth® connection to the app. The scale can be integrated into the app or an already integrated scale can be connected via Bluetooth®. If this is not desired, press the SET button again.

The scale must be removed in the smartphone settings: Settings > Bluetooth > BF 880 > "i" > "Forget This Device". The scale must then be added in the beurer HealthManager Pro app once again.

This shows the Numeric Comparison procedure for secure Bluetooth® pairing.
Confirm the Bluetooth® pairing on the smartphone and on the scale as well by pressing the SET button.

If a connection to the router cannot be established, it may be caused by the following:
a) The WIFI router (SSID network name) password does not match.
b) The scale supports 2.4 GHz. Make sure that the router includes the 2.4 GHz frequency range.
c) Only the default port should be set on the router.
d) No MAC address filter should be used on the router.
e) The following router settings are not supported by the scale:

  • WPS
  • Unencrypted/no password
  • WEP
  • WPA2-Enterprise

f) Network name or password requirement not met:

  • Network name/SSID: max. 32 characters
  • Password: min. 8 up to max. 64 characters (special characters permitted)

g) Restrictions due to guest networks or public networks, where applicable

Yes, in principle, but there may be possible restrictions on these networks that affect functionality.

An online account is required to load the measured values from the cloud/server into the beurer HealthManager Pro app. The major advantage of a WIFI scale compared to a Bluetooth® scale, for example, is that the app does not have to remain open after the measurement; instead, the measured values are transferred directly to the cloud/server.

The data is transferred to the server in an encrypted form using TLS (Transport Layer Security).

The connection between the scale and smartphone/tablet is encrypted using the Numeric Comparison process which is compliant with Bluetooth® S.I.G.

In order to be able to connect the scale to the WIFI network, data such as the WIFI network name and password need to be transferred to the scale via Bluetooth®. Furthermore, Bluetooth® is used to transfer the measurement data if no WIFI connection can be established.

An online account is required for each scale user in the beurer HealthManager Pro app. The scale must be added in the app and an "existing user" must be selected during the integration process.

The app automatically synchronises with the server to receive the measurements transmitted via WIFI. Synchronisation can also be started manually by refreshing the app screen (pulling the app screen down). This means that the app does not need to be open to make new measurements.

a) for weight without BIA analysis: step off after weight is shown on scale display
b) for weight with BIA analysis: step off after body fat is shown on scale display
c) for weight with BIA analysis and heart rate (if activated): step off after heart rate is shown on scale display

The scale is connected via Bluetooth ®. Settings can be made to the scale. Exit the device setting for a measurement (close the app entirely if necessary).

If the automatic user assignment does not work (scale display shows "U: -"), you can assign the measurement to the correct user by pressing the "^" button. This manual user assignment can be performed both before and after the measurement.

The measurement could not be automatically assigned to the correct user. The reason for this is either that the measurement is outside the user assignment limit (e.g. +/- 3 kg compared to the last user measurement), or that other scale users are within the same weight range, so that the measurement cannot be clearly assigned. In these cases, use the "^" button on the scale to manually select the scale user (e.g.: "U: 1").

Briefly press the "reboot" button or remove a battery for a few seconds. Then place the scale on a firm and level surface and briefly load the platform until the 0.0 kg display appears again.

BF 980

If a connection to the router cannot be established, it may be caused by the following:

c) No user has been assigned between the scale and the beurer HealthManager Pro app.
To assign the user:

  • open the beurer HealthManager Pro app
  • select the BF980 under "My devices"
  • select "User settings"
  • check whether the assigned scale user (e.g. "U: 1") is also the same user on the scale

If the user is not the same, remove the scale from the beurer HealthManager Pro app and reconnect it.

It is possible to create a new user via the scale or via the beurer HealthManager Pro app. The latter is only possible if no BF980 has yet been added in the app.

If the SET button is held down for a long time, you can configure the scale using the scale buttons instead of using the app (unit, radio operation, scale user). However, configuration and use with the beurer HealthManager Pro app is recommended. To bring "USE-APP" up on the display again, briefly press the SET button several times until the scale switches off and then briefly press the SET button again.

After successful user measurement (e.g. U: 1) in the scale display, the WIFI and cloud symbol are displayed first and then the user (e.g. U: 1) is displayed. At the same time, the arrow symbol appears to confirm that the measurement has been sent to the server. If this does not work, a network test can help: To perform this, use the app to select the scale and perform the network test.

The scale is ready for Bluetooth® connection to the app. The scale can be integrated into the app or an already integrated scale can be connected via Bluetooth®. If this is not desired, press the SET button again.

Select your scale GS 485 in the menu area Settings > My devices. Here, you can choose between kg (kilogram), lb (pound) and st (stone) in the "Unit" area.

  • Ensure that your smartphone is in the Bluetooth® range of the scale and that the batteries of the scale are not empty.
  • Close the app completely. When you re-open the app, wait a moment until the data connection is established.
  • If this is not successful, please restart your smartphone.
  • Ensure that a user has been created and assigned.
  • The weighing deviates excessively from the previous measurement. In this case, please perform user assignment again in the menu area Settings > My devices > BF 700 / BF 800.
  • The weighing could not be uniquely assigned to a user. Check the set tolerance limit of the user assignment in the menu area Settings > My devices > BF 700 / BF 800.

Place the scale on a firm, level surface and ensure that you stand still with an even weight distribution when on the scale. Soft, uneven surfaces (e.g. carpet) can cause inaccuracies during measurement. Please also note that the scale features a 180 kg weight limit.

The user memory is full. Activate Bluetooth in your smartphone settings and open the app. The data will be transferred automatically. This may take some time.

Your scale is equipped with a low battery indicator. The batteries in the scale are empty. Please replace the batteries.

Check whether you currently have an active Bluetooth® pairing with other devices such as your smartwatch, fitness tracker or other gadgets. Unpair these devices or move the relevant device beyond the Bluetooth® range.

The GS 485 can be used to determine your weight but does not display any diagnostic data. This is because this is not a set of analytical scales.

Flexible heating

Flexible heating

The term "electro-smog" denotes electrical and magnetic fields with various characteristics (e.g. pulsed in the case of mobile telephones) and various frequencies (e.g. 50Hz when mains operated). Electrical and magnetic fields always occur when electrically operated products are used and also due to the domestic electrical installation.

The electrical and magnetic fields that occur when heat pads, foot warmers, heated underblankets and heated overblankets are used are far below the limits recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and stipulated by German law:

Electrical field strength: max. 5000 V/m
Magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m
Magnetic flux density: max. 100 mikrotesla

Heat pad:
Depending on the heat pad model and method of use, it can sometimes take up to 15 minutes after it has been switched on before the heat pad becomes warm to the touch at the highest setting. The maximum final temperature is reached after approx. 30 minutes at the earliest.

Foot warmer:
Depending on where it is placed, it can sometimes take up to 15 minutes after it has been switched on before the foot warmer becomes warm to the touch at the highest setting. Place the foot warmer on a carpet or similarly insulating underlay so that it will warm up faster. The maximum final temperature is reached after approx. 30 minutes at the earliest.

Electric underblanket:
Depending on the underblanket model and the surrounding conditions (room temperature, mattress, bedclothes) it can sometimes take up to 30 minutes after it has been switched on before the underblanket becomes warm to the touch at the highest setting.
In order to prevent heat loss, the electric underblanket must be completely covered. The maximum final temperature is reached after approx. 60 minutes at the earliest

Electric overblanket:
Depending on the overblanket model and the room temperature, it can sometimes take up to 15 minutes after it has been switched on before the overblanket becomes warm to the touch at the highest setting.
The maximum final temperature is reached after approx. 30 minutes at the earliest.

The electrical and magnetic fields emitted by this product can sometimes interfere with the function of your pacemaker.
However, they are far below the limits:

Electrical field strength: max. 5000 V/m
Magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m
Magnetic flux density: max. 100 mikrotesla

Please consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this product.

The maximum final temperature that can be achieved depends on many factors. These include, among others, the product (heat pad, foot warmer, heated underblanket, heated overblanket), its design (e.g. with or without automatic switch-off) and the room temperature.
Therefore, only average values determined under standardised measuring conditions at a room temperature of 20°C (+/- 5°C) can be specified.

Different measuring conditions are defined for each product. The individual values therefore cannot be compared with each other. The core temperature, i.e. the temperature in the centre of the heated surface, was measured:

  • Heat pads: 65°C – 70°C
  • Foot warmers: 45°C – 50°C
  • Heated underblankets: 60°C – 65°C
  • Heated overblankets: 40°C – 50°C

To ensure the measurements obtained with the heat products are repeatable and comparable, the measurement set-up must meet the requirements set out in the appliances standard IEC EN 60335-2-17. This involves covering (insulating) the product from above and below with precisely defined foam materials. The measurements are taken using a copper plate sensor that is also precisely defined. A room temperature of 20°C is stipulated during measurement. If all conditions are met, the specified temperatures can be measured. Differing measuring conditions will lead to differing results which are not comparable or repeatable.

SL 70

Yes, the device is operated with a battery.

It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery. Please proceed as follows:

  1. Open the cover of the micro USB connection on the snore stopper.
  2. Connect the snore stopper to a computer that is switched on using the charging cable, or to a mains socket using the mains adapter.
  3. Whilst charging, the operation light flashes green. As soon as the battery is fully charged, the operation light will remain green.

The battery state is displayed on the app's homescreen. The operation light on the snore stopper lights up red as soon as the device needs to be charged.

When the battery is fully charged, the battery life is approx. 4-5 days. However, the battery life may be lower in case of strong snoring.

Green: Snore stopper is switched on
Red: Battery needs charging
Blue: Bluetooth® is activated

You can wear the snore stopper on the left or right according to preference. The earplug can be adjusted accordingly.

No, because, as well as noise detection, the oscillations transmitted via the cranial bones are also measured in order to detect a snore. This therefore ensures that the detected snores come from the user.

Use a damp cloth or a standard alcohol cleaning pad for cleaning.

The device is switched on when the operation light lights up green. However, in order to not disturb the user, this switches off after a short period of time. If you hold the snore stopper upright in front of you or briefly press the ON/OFF button, it lights up again.

No, the data is initially saved on the snore stopper and can be transferred to the app at a later time. Since the memory capacity is limited, we recommend transferring the data after each recording.

Yes, this is possible. However, the "beurer SleepQuiet" app is required for documenting and evaluating the data and for settings.

You can make your individual adjustments in the "beurer SleepQuiet" app under Menu > Settings.

The snore stopper checks for snoring noises and oscillations transmitted via the cranial bones. If both are detected, the user is snoring.

The snore stopper releases a impulse consisting of tone or tone and vibration. The intensity of these impulses increases from a low level until the desired result is achieved.

The snore stopper avoids waking you up by slowly increasing the impulses. The throat muscles become firm and the airways open as a reaction to the impulses. Breathing is calmed and the snoring decreases. In the long term, there is a lasting reduction in snoring by training the muscles in the throat.

Initially, it may take several days until you are accustomed to the device. Check whether wearing it on the other ear feels more comfortable or whether a different earplug is more suitable.

maremed

Empty and clean the tank after each use with a diluted water and vinegar essence solution. Clean the water filter after each use with clean tap water. If you do not intend to use the maremed® for an extended period of time, leave the water filter and open tank to air-dry for a week. If it is not cleaned adequately, bacteria, algae and fungi may form in the water and on the water filter.

When set to the lowest level the volume is < 29 dB; at the highest humidification level the volume is 37 dB. The measurements were taken at a distance of 1 metre.

The salts for the sea air simulator come from Europe, with only a small proportion coming from South America.

  • Place the sea air simulator on a level, firm surface to prevent vibrations and noise.
  • Set up the sea air simulator in such a way that there is 30 cm clearance on all sides.
  • Make sure that the air inlet and air outlet are never blocked.

You can use the timer function to set the number of hours after which the maremed® should automatically switch off during operation. You can set the timer for between 1 and 24 hours.

  • To set the timer, press the TIMER button until your desired number of hours (e.g. 02) appears on the touch display. The timer display starts to light up continuously. The maremed® will now automatically switch off after the set number of hours has passed.
  • Please note: If the timer function has been activated, you can also regulate the fan speed or activate the sleep function while it is counting down.

The maremed® comes with a total of 3 fan speeds.

  • Select your desired fan speed using the FAN button. The fan speed that is currently set is shown on the touch display.

The maremed® has a sleep function. The touch display switches off as soon as the sleep function is switched on.

  1. To switch on the sleep function, press the SLEEP button. The SLEEP button starts to flash for 5 seconds. The sleep function will be active once the 5 seconds have elapsed. Now it is only possible to press the SLEEP button and the ON/OFF button.
  2. To switch off the sleep function, briefly press the SLEEP button. The touch display will start to light up again and all buttons can be pressed again.
  • Please note: The UVC lamp will stay on when the sleep function is active. If you would prefer all lights to be off, you can also switch off the UVC lamp.

    2. To switch the UVC lamp back on, press and hold the SLEEP button for 5 seconds.

UVC light eliminates up to 99% of bacteria, viruses and micro-organisms from the water. For safety reasons, the UVC lamp switches off as soon as you lift off the cover.

We recommend replacing the water filter and the prefilters with new filters after 2200 operating hours. After 2200 operating hours have elapsed, the filter change indicator will light up on the touch display

  • Please note: Use of the UVC lamp may result in a slight brown discolouration on the water filter. Small salt crystals may also form on the water filter if the device is used regularly.

The filters need to be replaced. Remove the filters as described in the instructions for use. Then press the timer symbol and the ON/OFF button simultaneously. This resets the setting.

The UVC lamp should be replaced after 5000 operating hours. Once 5000 operating hours have elapsed, or if the UVC lamp is faulty, the lamp symbol will light up on the touch display.

The UVC lamp needs to be replaced. Remove the UVC lamp as described in the instructions for use. Then press the fan symbol and the ON/OFF button simultaneously. This resets the setting.

The fan does not start until after 3 minutes have elapsed because the water in the water tank first needs to be sterilised before the fan draws in the air.

  • Check for foreign bodies in the air inlet/air outlet.
  • Clean the filters.
  • Ensure that the filters have been correctly inserted.
  • Position the air purifier on a level surface.
  • The cover is not fully seated on the housing
  • There is salt or water on the sensors. Clean the metal rods with a solution of vinegar essence diluted with water.

Normal tap water can be used to fill the water tank.

Only use the maremed® with the maremed® special sea salt. Do not use the maremed® with any other salts! The maremed® may be damaged if other salts are used. Also do not add any essential oils or fragrances to the tank. If other additives are used, the plastic material may become discoloured and damaged.

Using the measuring jug, add 90 ml of the maremed® special sea salt included in delivery to the tap water (equates to 15 ml of maremed® special sea salt for every 1 litre of tap water).

If the device is used every day for 12 h: around 90 days

Massage

stressreleaZer

Stress has a negative impact on a person's health and can lead to heart conditions, amongst other things. The Beurer stress releaZer helps you to reduce stress in a natural way through breathing training.

The beurer stress releaZer was specially developed for the prevention and treatment of stress. By covering the diaphragm area with the stress releaZer, primary nerve pathways in this region are relaxed and your natural breathing rhythm is restored. The built-in vibration motor transmits pulses to the user, which allows them to breathe normally. The stress releaZer also has an illuminated ring, which functions as a mood light. The stress releaZer also has an optional heat function on the underside for a more comfortable application.

Lie flat on your back or sit back in a reclined chair. You can use the stress releaZer either on bare skin or over clothing. Place the stress releaZer on the diaphragm area (resting on the bottom rib bones/chest). We recommend placing the flat side of the device on your chest, with the narrow end pointing towards your chin. If you find that use directly on the diaphragm is uncomfortable, position the stress releaZer above the diaphragm.

The duration of treatment depends on your personal condition. We recommend that you use the stress releaZer for 30 minutes every day, but initially starting with 10 minutes per day.
In the "beurer CalmDown" app you can familiarise yourself with breathing training with the help of a 6-week programme and increase the intensity week by week.

HRV describes the duration of the intervals between each of your heartbeats. The more varied this value, the healthier and more resistant to stress you are.

Select the breathing cycle (10, 12 or 14 seconds) of your choice.
In the "beurer CalmDown" app you can find out which cycle is best for you, with the help of the breathing rhythm test.

• Press the ON/OFF button 2 x: the first breathing cycle (10 seconds) is activated. In this breathing cycle, breathe in for 5 seconds, and then breathe out for 5 seconds.
• Press the ON/OFF button 3 x: the second breathing cycle (12 seconds) is activated. In this breathing cycle, breathe in for 6 seconds, and then breathe out for 6 seconds.
• Press the ON/OFF button 4 x: the third breathing cycle (14 seconds) is activated. In this breathing cycle, breathe in for 7 seconds, and then breathe out for 7 seconds.

You can switch on a soothing heat during use to increase relaxation. To do this, press the heat button on the stress releaZer. If the heat function is activated, the ring will light up red and pulsate in time with your breathing rhythm. This function can be switched on and off at any time during the breathing training. Press the heat button again to switch off the heat.

You can also switch on a blue light during the treatment, which improves relaxation and serves as a visual aid in addition to the vibration. To do this, press the light button in the stress releaZer. The illuminated ring around the stress releaZer will now start to pulse in time with the user's breathing rhythm. Press the light button again to switch off the blue light. If you also switch on the heat function, the illuminated ring turns red.

The app is currently available for: List of compatible smartphones

• The minimum range in the open is approx. 15 m. Walls and ceilings reduce the range.
• Check whether you currently have an active Bluetooth® connection with other devices such as your smartwatch, fitness tracker or other gadgets. Disconnect or move the relevant device outside the Bluetooth® range.
• Other radio waves (e.g.: WIFI router, microwave, induction hobs) can interfere with the transfer.

The battery will last for approx. 3 hours when fully charged (with heat and light function activated) or approx. 11 hours without heat and light function. Charge the stress releaZer again as soon as the function light flashes blue during operation.

It is very easy to charge the battery by following these steps:

  • Connect the mains adapter with the stress releaZer using the micro USB charging cable.
  • Then insert the mains adapter into a suitable socket.
  • Alternatively, you can also charge the stress releaZer with the charging cable via the USB port on your computer or laptop.

The charging time is approx. 4 hours. When the device is charging, the function light will light up alternately in a circle. When the stress releaZer is fully charged, the function light will be permanently illuminated.
