Beurer toothbrush technology – oscillating and pulsating brushing technology

Beurer electric toothbrushes use oscillating and pulsating brushing technology for a high cleaning performance. The brush head moves quickly back and forth, effectively removing plaque and bacteria. The pulsating movement also stimulates the blood flow in the gums, which can lead to better circulation and healthier oral hygiene.

What is the difference between a regular manual toothbrush and an electric toothbrush?

The difference between a regular manual toothbrush and an electric toothbrush lies in the cleaning performance. Whilst a manual toothbrush cleans your teeth using manual movements, an electric toothbrush does the work for you. The fast powered movements of the brush head ensures a more thorough clean of your teeth and gums.

An electric toothbrush can be a great aid for people with restricted motor skills and can help those with sensitive gums with gentle yet effective cleaning.

How do I brush my teeth correctly with an electric toothbrush?

Using an electric toothbrush is easy, with just a few important steps to follow. Start by applying a pea-sized amount of toothpaste to the brush head. Then place the brush against your teeth, press the power button and slowly move it from tooth to tooth.

Make sure to clean all teeth thoroughly, both front and back. Use the oscillating and pulsating movement of the brush heads to remove plaque and bacteria over a large area. Beurer electric toothbrushes also features a beneficial pressure sensor. If you press the brush head too firmly onto your teeth or gums during use, the light ring will start to illuminate red to prevent you from brushing too hard which can cause damage to your gums. For healthy oral hygiene, remember to gently clean your tongue and gums too.

After brushing, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and clean the brush head under running water. This ensures a long-lasting cleaning effect as well as healthy, radiant white teeth.

How long should I brush my teeth for with an electric toothbrush?

The recommended brushing time with an electric toothbrush is around two minutes. All Beurer models have a timer to help you maintain the correct brushing time. Divide your mouth into four quadrants and brush each area for 30 seconds. The electric toothbrush vibrates briefly after each 30 seconds and three times after 2 minutes. The toothbrush switches off automatically after 6 minutes.

How often should I change the brush head on the electric toothbrush?

We advise you to change the brush head on your electric toothbrush every three months. This is because the bristles will wear down over time, reducing the cleaning effect. If the bristles of the brush head are worn or frayed sooner than this, they may need to be replaced more frequently.
