Foot warmer
2 ArticlesWhat is an electric foot warmer and how does it work?
An electric foot warmer is a cosy, soft footmuff that is heated by an electric fast-heating function. Like one giant slipper, our foot warmers have a cosy fleece lining and soft outer for the ultimate in comfort.
There are built-in heating cords inside the foot warmer which are heated electrically. The cords are flexible, ensuring your foot warmer doesn’t feel hard or stiff. The heating cords are made of thin metal wires and are insulated by plastic. When you switch on your foot warmer, the heating cords warm up and distribute soothing heat inside the foot warmer.
Some of our foot warmers even have a massage function. The FWM 45 has a gentle vibration massage setting to help relax your muscles and promote circulation.
Why use an electric foot warmer?
The advantage of an electric foot warmer is that you can warm up your feet without requiring a lot of energy. A foot warmer only heats itself rather than an entire room or, as with underfloor heating, the entire floor, so it doesn’t use much energy but still gives you cosy warmth around your feet.* What’s more, an electric foot warmer provides controlled, constant and long-lasting heat.

The warmth can help relax your muscles, promote your circulation, provide cosy heat when you have a cold or simply help with your recovery. The addition of a massage function can boost these positive effects even further.
What can I use my foot warmer for?
Your foot warmer can be used and can boost your well-being in a number of different areas:
People often have uncomfortably cold feet when it’s cold outside and they come back inside after a long walk or stroll in the city. A foot warmer provides quick relief here. However, a foot warmer is also ideal for the transition between seasons, in that it can envelop your feet in cosy warmth when your home is often not as warm as you’d like it to be.
Whether you’re in the office or working from home, you often spend many hours sitting at your desk without moving much. This can easily lead to cold feet. A foot warmer under your desk can help you to keep your feet nice and warm throughout the working day.
Exercising or standing for a long time causes tired and tense feet. Incorrect posture can also cause tension in your feet muscles. Cosy heat can relax your feet again, loosen up the muscles and help you recover after exercise. It can also relieve tension, especially if your foot warmer is additionally equipped with a massage function.
What should I bear in mind when buying one?
There are a number of factors to consider when buying your foot warmer. First and foremost, its size is crucial as the foot warmer must be suitable for your shoe size. Also make sure that you can wash the outer material and inner lining of your foot warmer so you can enjoy it for many years to come.
Then it’s time to consider features: An automatic switch-off function, as provided on our electric Beurer heating products, is a convenient safety feature. The heat supply is stopped after a certain period of time and the temperature setting display starts to flash. The automatic switch-off function provides protection if you forget to turn off the heating product. Our foot warmers also come with the Beurer safety system - another feature designed with maximum safety in mind. It provides electronic overheating protection and automatically switches off the heating product in the event of a fault, making it even safer.
Adjustable heat settings are also great to have – everyone is different and having the flexibility to adjust the temperature to suit you will get you much more use from your purchase.
