The air we breathe is one of the main sources of life for all of us. Therefore, poor air quality can affect our health. The development of our lifestyle in terms of exercise and eating habits, as well as environmental changes and air pollution, for example, are leading to an increase in allergies.
In addition, dry or poor indoor air impedes oxygen transport and oxygen uptake in the respiratory tract and there is an increased risk of infections and respiratory diseases. Other symptoms include fatigue, a lack of concentration and the drying out of skin and eyes.
Since most people spend up to 90% of their lives indoors, a concept for a healthy indoor climate would be a sensible conclusion for many. In addition to natural helpers such as plants, various technologies and products can also provide a solution.
Even if air pollution is not visible to the human eye, we often sit in rooms with poor air quality for extended periods of time. With an air purifier, you can clean this air and free it from household dust, pet hair, pollen, mites, bacteria or viruses. Therefore, air purifiers are particularly suitable for allergy sufferers, hay fever sufferers and pet owners.
When the pollen season starts in spring, this can alleviate the symptoms in your own four walls.
The air purifier's fan sucks in the polluted air. The pre-filter filters larger particles such as household dust, dirt and (pet) hair. Then, the activated carbon filter filters harmful gases, volatile organic compounds (VOC) and unpleasant odours from the room air. Afterwards, small particles such as fine dust, mites, pollen, various bacteria or viruses are filtered by the EPA or HEPA filter. Additional cleaning by switchable ions or UV light is also possible. The purified air is released into the room air via the air outlet of the air purifier.
The optimal relative humidity in indoor rooms is 40 – 60 %. Especially on cold winter days, heating warmth causes a drop in relative humidity. Too dry indoor air influences our well-being and impairs our health. Dust particles spread more easily in dry air, which is an additional burden for allergy sufferers.
In addition, the air seeks alternative sources of moisture and draws its needs from our skin, the surrounding plants or furniture. Therefore, it is important to additionally supply the air with moisture.
Humidifiers provide the room air with the necessary moisture. Thus, the misting of water can bind the dust particles in the air and thereby prevent the spread of pathogens. Humidifiers are therefore particularly suitable for use in winter and in rooms with dry indoor air.
Here at Beurer, we sell 3 different technologies and thus products that are suitable for creating a good indoor climate. In addition, it is recommended to always use humidifiers in combination with a hygrometer in order to be able to control the humidity at all times. Particularly practical: the humidifiers LB 200 and LB 300 already have a hygrometer integrated. Besides too little moisture, it is also bad to form too much moisture in the room.
The device contains a water tank that needs to be filled with water. An ultrasonic membrane, located under the water, vibrates the water and detaches tiny droplets from the surface. The fan built into the humidifier draws in the air with the fine water droplets and transports the humidified air into the room.

Tips for use
The humidifier is based on a similar principle to the teapot principle. The water in the humidifier is heated to over 100 °C and the air stream of the built-in fan then brings the hot steam outside.
Advantages of the humidifier
With the humidifiers, you achieve air humidification through natural cold evaporation. When using the humidifier, the evaporation filter soaks up water. In addition, the dry air is drawn into the device by the fan and brushes over the filter. Through the contact between the air stream and the moist filter surface, the water evaporates. The humidified air is then evenly distributed in the room by the fan.
Advantages of the humidifier
Air washers combine the function of air purification and humidification in one device. The air washer humidifies dry air and at the same time cleans the air of household dust, pollen, pet hair and odours. The air washer can also be useful for allergy sufferers.
The fan sucks in the polluted air from above. The air flows over the humidification discs, which continuously rotate in the water, thus absorbing moisture. The water acts as a natural filter, freeing the supplied air from particles such as dust, pollen or pet hair. The cleaned and humidified air escapes through the side outlets. The humidification is based on the principle of self-regulating cold evaporation. This allows the air washer to achieve optimal humidity.

Tips for use
Silver occurs in the environment, mainly in the form of its very insoluble and immobile oxides, sulfides and some salts. Since silver ions are bacteriostatic, they are used to prevent microbial growth. We use:
Too high humidity can cause various problems: starting with a musty smell, dark spots on the walls, mould and rust formation up to endangering one's own health.*2
Regular, proper ventilation often does not suffice. A dehumidifier can contribute to improving the indoor climate, as it removes excess moisture from the air.
For damp rooms, dehumidifiers are a great help. They are also often used on construction sites or after water damage for support.
The humid room air is cooled at the evaporator to below the dew point. The water vapour contained in the air settles as condensate on the evaporator and runs into the water tank or condensate hose.
This air is then heated again at the condenser and released into the room air. This way, the processed, dry air mixes with the room air. This circulation removes moisture from the room.
Today's air pollution is considered one of the main causes of asthma and other respiratory diseases. Many sufferers then find relief by the sea, as the salty air there has a positive effect on respiratory health. For a healthy indoor climate and natural moistening of the respiratory tract, the marine climate device combines the advantages of an air purifier and a humidifier. Thus, the marine climate device simulates the biodynamics of the sea coast and enriches the air with salt.
