Do other brands’ brush heads fit electric toothbrushes?

Yes, it works if the design and series match. Sonic brush heads belong on sonic toothbrushes, round heads on rotation toothbrushes. Our SC brush heads for adults fit all Beurer sonic toothbrushes and Philips Sonicare toothbrushes except Philips One and Kids. Our TB brush heads fit all Oral-B toothbrushes except the Pulsonic series and the iO series.

Do other brands’ brush heads fit electric toothbrushes?

New brush heads are due, and the shelf is full of brush heads from many brands — but will a different attachment actually fit? Whether a head fits is decided not by the logo, but by the design of your handle and its series.

The good news: with our brush heads you can often keep your usual handle, even if it is not a Beurer. We show you which head belongs on which toothbrush.

Why brush heads are not freely interchangeable

Brush heads are not freely interchangeable because sonic and rotating toothbrushes need different heads. Our SC brush heads are designed for sonic toothbrushes, our TB brush heads for rotating toothbrushes.

So an SC head does not belong on a rotating handle, and a TB head does not belong on a sonic toothbrush. You can tell which type you have from the head: elongated for sonic, round for rotating. Check the model name and the instructions for use for your handle to identify its type and series.

Within a drive type, the series matters, and it is quick to check. That is why we name the compatible brands for every head, along with the series it does not fit.

SC brush heads: made for sonic toothbrushes

The Beurer SC brush heads for adults are made for sonic toothbrushes. If you use a Sonicare that is not from the One or Kids series, you simply click our heads on and keep your handle.

The SC brush heads come in four variants, each in a pack of 4:

If your gums are sensitive, Premium Protection Plus is a good starting point.

For children there is the Wavy Clean brush head, developed for children's teeth from age 6. It fits all Beurer sonic toothbrushes and Philips Sonicare toothbrushes except Philips One. Also note the age specification for your handle: the Beurer SC 30 and SC 50 are suitable from age 8, even with a Wavy Clean brush head.

Handy in everyday use: all SC brush heads have indicator bristles that change colour as soon as it is time to replace the brush head. The Beurer SC 50 sonic toothbrush is a Winner of the German Innovation Award 2026 (Excellence in Business to Consumer – Beauty & Care).[1]

TB brush heads: made for rotating toothbrushes

The Beurer TB brush heads are made for rotation toothbrushes. The TB brush heads Clean fit the TB 30, the TB 50 and standard rotation toothbrushes such as Oral-B (except the Pulsonic series and the iO series). They are available as Clean and as Sensitive, in a set of 4 or 8.

The Clean Eco variant belongs to the Beurer TB 15. It also fits standard rotation toothbrushes such as Oral-B (except the Pulsonic series and the iO series).

You can keep using an Oral-B this way too. Our TB heads fit your handle, as long as it is not from the Pulsonic series or the iO series, and a quick look at the series is all it takes.

Attaching the brush head correctly and replacing it on time

On the Beurer SC 30 and the Beurer SC 50, push the brush head onto the device from above until it clicks firmly into place. Make sure it faces the same direction as the on/off/mode button.

For hygienic oral care, replace the SC brush head after about 3 months. The indicator bristles show you by their colour when it is time. For the TB brush heads: for optimal brushing results, replace the brush head every 3 months.

And what if the bristles look worn sooner? Change the brush head every three months, or sooner if the bristles spread out. Once the bristles splay outwards, a new head is due.[2]

What else oral care needs besides the brush head

The right head is the foundation, but there is more to oral care.

However, on its own a toothbrush cannot get the spaces between your teeth completely clean. That is what interdental brushes are for. Ask your dentist or hygienist to show you the correct brush size for each gap.[3] Only for very narrow gaps that no interdental brush fits into should you use dental floss.[4]

Even if you brush thoroughly at home, it is worth having the plaque and tartar that build up on your teeth removed by the hygienist from time to time, in a scale and polish.[5] Dental healthcare professionals may give you more advice based on your own dental health and needs.[6] So feel free to ask at your next appointment which brush head suits you.

If your gums bleed or you have ongoing discomfort, your dental practice is the right place to go.

Finding the right Beurer brush head

Here is how to find the right head in three steps:

  1. Clarify the design: sonic toothbrush with an elongated head or rotation toothbrush with a round head. Use the model name and the instructions for use to check which brush system your handle uses.
  2. Check the series: for the four SC variants for adults, Philips One and Kids are excluded; for Wavy Clean and Wavy Soft, only Philips One. For TB heads, Pulsonic and iO are excluded.
  3. Choose the variant: for the SC heads, Classic Clean, Premium Plaque Eraser, Premium Whiten or Premium Protection Plus; for the TB heads, Clean or Sensitive.

You will find more models and accessories in our oral care range. Do you use a Beurer sonic toothbrush or a Philips Sonicare other than One and Kids? Then your next step: take a look at the SC brush heads.
