Beurer TL 35 receives award “Product of the Year 2026”
When, in the cooler season, the day mostly takes place indoors, there can be a lack of sufficient natural light. This is where the daylight therapy lamp TL 35 from Beurer comes in. The German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) and the news channel ntv have now honoured it as “Product of the Year 2026” in the category “health & Wellbeing”.
The award focuses on products that display outstanding quality characteristics in their categories and offer clear benefits to the end consumer. A twelve-member jury with experts from science, retail, trend and market research decided on the winners. In total, there were more than 700 nominations; 97 products in 29 categories were awarded.
This is how the TL 35 impressed the expert jury
The jury recognised the daylight therapy lamp TL 35 as a “practical solution for people who spend a large part of their everyday routine in enclosed spaces”. The combination of three coordinated colour temperatures that replicate the natural course of the day was rated positively. Its compact design enables the TL 35 to be used in the workplace. The jury’s assessment further states: “Approval as a medical device underscores the device’s health credentials.”
“Many people spend their day at a desk and get little natural daylight, especially in the darker months. With the TL 35 we wanted to develop a compact solution that can be easily integrated into everyday routine. We are very pleased that this approach has been recognised by an independent jury,” says Julia Schrade, Product Manager at Beurer.
Three lighting moods from focused work to relaxation
The TL 35 simulates a sunny course of the day. It offers three colour temperatures for a regulated day-night rhythm: “Active” with 4,300 Kelvin for focused work in the morning, “Therapy” with 6,500 Kelvin to counter the midday slump, and “Relax” with 3,000 Kelvin for relaxation in the evening. Four brightness levels, a continuously adjustable tilt setting and a stand that can be used horizontally or vertically make everyday usage easier. In the therapy setting, the medical device reaches an illuminance of 10,000 lux at a distance of about 13 centimetres.
