Blood pressure in focus: World Hypertension Day 2021
High blood pressure is the number one risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. According to the German Hypertension League e.V. (DHL), around 20 to 30 million people in Germany suffer from hypertension. But one third of treated hypertensives are currently not well controlled. One in ten do not seek treatment, even though they know about their high blood pressure, and 20 percent of those affected are not even aware that their blood pressure levels are too high. Many people do not know that hypertension is the cause of many serious secondary diseases. Every year on 17 May, the World Hypertension League (WHL) proclaims World Hypertension Day to inform people about the often underestimated widespread disease of high blood pressure and to raise awareness about health risks. In Germany, the WHL is represented by the Deutsche Hochdruckliga e.V. - German Society for Hypertension and Prevention, among others. In 2021, the campaign day will focus on home self-measurement.
Beurer fans: a fresh breeze for at home, at the office and on the move
Clean air and a healthy indoor environment have been important issues for Beurer for years. The Ulm-based company offers high-quality air purifiers, humidifiers and washers as well as weather stations and aroma diffusers, which ensure a feel-good atmosphere at home. Two new ideal companions for the summer have now been added to the range: the LV 50 Fresh Breeze Personal Air Fan and Cooler and the LV 200 Tower fan.
Two-time winner of the Red Dot Award: the maremed® Sea air simulator
Never before in the more than 60-year history of the design competition have so many companies and design studios submitted products to be evaluated under the professional judgement of the international Red Dot Jury as this year. Products were submitted from around 60 countries and their design quality and degree of innovation were evaluated in a multi-day process. The maremed® Sea air simulator from Beurer impressed the jury across the board twice and went away with awards in the "Product Design 2021" and "Innovative Product 2021" categories.
Reorganisation of the International Sales Structure at Beurer
As part of the official change in the Beurer management, the sales team has also been restructured with effect from 1 April 2021. Export Director Bernd Lindner continues to be responsible for overseas distributors.
A new addition to the range: LR 220 Air purifier with modern design and excellent filter performance
The concentration of pollutants and allergens is often two to five times higher in our living spaces than outside. Pollen, fine dust and other particles don't stand a chance with the new LR 220 Air purifier from Beurer! Allergy sufferers in particular can finally breathe calmly again in their home, as the LR 220 removes nearly everything from the air that could harm your health thanks to the three-layered filter system with HEPA H13 filter. The Air purifier can ensure a better indoor climate in your home and a better quality of life all year round – not just during pollen season.
