Beurer receives multiple Red Dot Design Awards

Outstanding design achievements and product innovations are the attributes that the 48 jurors of the renowned Red Dot Design Award appraise each year. The Ulm-based health specialist was able to win over the internationally coveted award's top-class jury with well-thought-out products. This time around, the BM 81 easyLock Blood Pressure Monitor, the LR 220 Air Purifier and the MG 185 Massage Gun received the award.

Blood pressure measurement made easy
As the most innovative product amongst the blood pressure monitors, the BM 81 easyLock also impressed the Red Dot jury and is the winner in the "Medical devices and technology" category. Put it on, tighten, and measure: the perfect all-in-one solution! A sophisticated system that makes blood pressure measurement easier than ever before. The cuff is integrated in the BM 81 and can be easily pulled over your arm and tightened. This mechanism ensures perfect hold and practical operation during measurement – without any tubes or hook-and-loop fasteners. The cuff position control, the inflation technology (which takes the measurement in a way that protects the blood vessels while the pressure is being built up gently), and the integrated risk indicator for clear interpretation of the results are further well-thought-out details that set the blood pressure monitor apart.

MG 185: powerhouse for targeted trigger point massage
The handy shape, optimum weight distribution and a slim, modern design with trendy colours make the MG 185 a visual highlight. However, the Massage Gun also has a lot to offer: five different attachments ensure a massage that is perfectly adapted to the various regions of the body. Three predefined massage programmes and a total of nine intensity levels offer powerful and targeted application over the entire body. The device can be easily operated via the touch display and the battery status is also shown in colour. A high-quality travel case provides practical storage.

Outstanding feel-good factor in your own home
The LR 220 Air Purifier has been awarded the Red Dot Award; it brings clean air into people's homes, as it removes pollen, fine dust, bacteria, etc. reliably from the air. The attractive round and modern design will fit in seamlessly with any room. The three-layered filter system (consisting of pre-filter, HEPA H13 filter and activated carbon) is highly effective and reliably removes fine/domestic dust, animal hairs, pollen, smells, harmful gases as well as various viruses and bacteria from the air. For particles ≥ 0.3 μm in size, the filter performance is up to 99.95%*. Three fan levels, a timer function and a turbo mode are further useful features. In night mode, the device can also be used in the bedroom, as it can be operated extremely quietly and with the control panel switched off. The LR 220 is suitable for room sizes of up to 37 m² and is therefore suitable for versatile use throughout the entire house or in the office.

About the Red Dot Award
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the largest design competitions in the world. Participants submit products, communication work and brands as well as prototypes and concepts in three disciplines. The "Red Dot" award stands for good design quality internationally. In line with the motto "In search of good design and innovation", the 48 international members of the Red Dot jury from 23 countries test each product submitted professionally, individually and comprehensively. In total, manufacturers, designers and design offices from around 60 countries submitted their products for the Red Dot Award: Product Design in 2022.

*Tests show: the three-layered filter system with HEPA H13 filter filters out up to 95% of particles ≥ 0.02 μm in size (IUTA test in April 2020 according to DIN 71460-1).
