"Mittelstandspreis" prize: n-tv awards Beurer the title of "Hidden Champion"

n-Tv Mittelstandspreis Preisverleihung

Beurer achieved 2nd place in the "Brand" category of the "n-tv Hidden Champion 2017" prize for medium-sized companies (the "Mittelstandspreis"). Beurer Managing Director, Georg Walkenbach, was at the award ceremony in the 'Gesellschaftshaus' at the Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main last Wednesday evening to accept the prize.

Beurer's success in the "Brand" category once again highlights the significance that this traditional company from Ulm is now gaining in the industry.

With over 500 products related to "health and well-being" for home use, Beurer offers a unique full range – from entry-level models through to high-end products.
n-tv produced a brief profile of Beurer for the award presentation, which can be viewed here: http://www.n-tv.de/mediathek/videos/wirtschaft/Beurer-article20134525.html

Applications are open to all owner-managed companies based in Germany that have at least 30 employees. All submissions are supplemented with the n-tv business editors' own research and reviewed by a panel of experts. The "n-tv Hidden Champion 2017" prize for medium-sized companies (the "Mittelstandspreis") is awarded in collaboration with the dfv Maleki Group and with the support of the BVMW (German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses).

Beurer invests in Health-Tech Startup Ovy

As a strategic investor, Beurer is investing a six-digit amount in working with the Health-Tech Startup Ovy. Ovy is an app that allows women to calculate their cycle. The app will be supplemented with the Ovy Bluetooth® Basalt thermometer which Beurer will launch together with Ovy in mid-2018. With the Ovy Basalt thermometer, the measured values can be automatically transferred to the app via Bluetooth®.

"In our opinion, Ovy is the leading app in the field of cycle control with rapidly growing user numbers. Young women in particular are increasingly using natural methods of contraception. In addition, the planning of pregnancy is becoming an increasingly important topic. The combination of apps with new product technologies such as Bluetooth basalt thermometers offers new possibilities here." says Marco Bühler, Managing Director of Beurer GmbH.

Innovations to be proud of

For the seventh time in a row, in 2017 Beurer has been named the "Most Innovative Brand of the Year" by the Plus X Award. The participants who managed to win the most Plus X quality seals in their product group were honoured with this most prestigious award. This year, Beurer was also honoured as the "Best design brand" for the fourth time in a row. This special award is only awarded to one company per year and product group.

In February, a total of ten Beurer products were awarded the Plus X quality seal in the categories "Quality", "Design", "Ease of Use", "Innovation" and "Functionality". This gave the Ulm-based health expert enough seals to once again be named "Most Innovative Brand of the Year" in the "Health & Personal Care" product group. In the same product group, Beurer was also able to bring the award “Best design brand” back to Ulm as it was awarded multiple “Design” seals.

Plus X Award

At the IFA 2017, Donat Brandt, President of the Plus X Award, presented the winner's trophy for the "most innovative brand" to Beurer Head of Marketing Kerstin Glanzer. Beurer Fascia-ReleaZer® at top-class sports

Justin Gatlin wins the gold medal in the 100m sprint at the 2017 World Championship versus sport legend Usain Bolt. Despite all expectations, Usain Bolt was unable to defeat Justin Gatlin (gold) and Christian Coleman (silver) in what was his last dramatic run at the end of his career.

How can you prepare your fascia during the training phase for such an exceptional performance and keep them resilient for the duration of a tournament? Many world athletes like Justin Gatlin and Canadian Aaron Brown use the Beurer Fascia-ReleaZer® for this purpose.

Gatlin & Brown using Beurer FasciaReleaZer

Brown, who won the bronze medal in the 4x100m relay at the 2016 Summer Olympics says: "Anytime I have aches in my leg, I use the fascia release stick because I love the way my body responds to the tool. It has become a staple in my rehabilitation arsenal and I bring it with me all around the world to my races."

With its unique and new method of vibro-shearing, the Fascia-ReleaZer® helps to loosen fascia bonding and regenerates the muscle tissue. Scientific studies substantiate the fact, that the perfusion significantly improves the flexibility and agility.
