BM 70 named blood pressure device of the year 2012
Most patients agree that a blood pressure monitor should be comfortable, reliable and easy to use. These are the features that have made the Beurer BM 70 upper arm blood pressure monitor once again the winner of this year’s health care survey. It stands out due to its extremely high measuring accuracy and simple handling that allows even senior citizens to monitor their blood pressure safely. The globally unique resting indicator helps to ensure a fault-free measurement. A response is given after the measurement to indicate whether you were sufficiently rested for an accurate result and prompts you to repeat the measurement in case of doubt.
The BM 70 has been awarded the title of “Blood pressure monitor of the year” for the second time in a row. The BM 70 was also named “Blood pressure monitor of the year” by the jury at the Plus X Awards in 2010 and received the seal for “Innovation, Design and Usability”.

Honourable mention in the red dot design award
This year the products from the successful Ulm-based enterprise were once again awarded the coveted “red dot” design prize. This year, Beurer’s blood pressure monitor and scale managed to secure the acclaimed award. The BM65 blood pressure monitor wins users over with its ergonomic and particularly handy design. The large blue illuminated display makes measurements even simpler and puts the finishing touch to the exceptional design of the upper arm blood pressure monitor.
The GS50 solar scale received a special honour: the prestigious “honourable mention”, which is bestowed alongside the red dot award, this year went to the GS50 solar glass scale. The scale was already awarded the renowned “Blue Angel” seal last year for its solar operation.

World innovation: resting heart rate indicator
Measuring blood pressure at home is no longer a problem thanks to the emergence of modern devices. Regular checks can help detect hypertension early or help keep high blood pressure under control. The common problem with previous home devices can be that there was no way of knowing whether users had the necessary mental and physical relaxed to accurately check their blood pressure. The market leader in blood pressure monitors has now solved this problem and is presenting a world innovation at Medica 2009 with the so called resting heart rate indicator. A response after the measuring process has completed signals whether users are relaxed enough and, if that is not the case, requests that they try again. Beurer has integrated the resting heart rate indicator into three new blood pressure monitors, BM70, BM60 and BC60 and each offers the utmost in accuracy, reliability and precision.

Easy-to-use at its best
A regular blood pressure check is important for recognising high blood pressure at an early stage or, if already suffering from it, to keep an eye on it. However, the elderly in particular are often concerned when it comes to using technically complex (blood pressure) devices. As the market leader in Germany, Beurer is dedicated to making at-home blood pressure readings simpler and more convenient. With the BM44 and BC44 models, two devices are celebrating their premiere at Medica which are easy-to-use and yet still offer a high level of reliability and precision. One button is all that is needed to check heart rate and blood pressure quickly and accurately. That’s easy-to-use at its best!
